NOVEMBER - TempleCanyon - 4 mile Trail Run. 9:00 am
SCR Prediction race #12. This run has traditionally had one of our largest turnouts. A truly beautiful run this is a challenging four mile romp through the canyon lands south of Canon City. This is your chance to traverse rocky single track and ford icy streams in late November. The scenery is stunning, so watch the trail, and you will be fine. The hilly trail winds around the junipers and through the stream twice.
Directions: From Pueblo stay on Highway 50 as it goes thru Canon City, at the western edge of town, but before you reach "Old Max" turn left (south) at 1st St. Stay on 1st St until you reach a fork in the road (about a mile)and veer to your right (sign says Temple Canyon to right), go a short distance and you will see the parking lot on your right and the runners. Here is a map There will be light snacks after the run but No pot luck. Afterwards we have breakfast in Canon. If you have Thanksgiving company from out of town bring them!
DECEMBER- The Holiday (Mini-Mini) Marathon, 3M Run or 1.3M walk, 3 PM. Predict #13.
